More About Megan — My Story, Style, and What to Expect

I’m a Utah photographer based in the Salt Lake City area, and I’ve been capturing love stories, growing families, and life’s milestones since 2017. But my love for photography started long before that — with a little point-and-shoot camera in sixth grade and a mom who always understood the power of preserving a moment.

My style is timeless, genuine, and bright. I want your photos to feel like you — not like a trend. I want you to look back and remember your babies when they were little, the way your fiancé looked at you during your engagement season, or the joy of a milestone year. My goal is for your images to stand the test of time, without feeling stamped by a certain editing era.

When it comes to posing, I take a balanced approach. I provide thoughtful direction to give you those classic, smiling-at-the-camera shots, while also capturing the candid, in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening — the laughter, the movement, the quiet joy.

I believe in loving people well, creating art with intention, and remembering the moments that matter most. Photography is more than snapping a picture to me. It’s art. It’s remembering. It’s preserving a stage of life so it can be passed down for generations — and that’s an honor I don’t take lightly.

a Gold Placement in the IDA 2023 Design Awards

an AIGA 100 Show Winner

Award of Merit in Graphic Design at UVU

Megan has done family photos for us three times. She is kind and worked so hard to get our grumpy kids to smile - she is wonderful with kids. She is an excellent communicator and one thing I love about her work is that the photos are so crisp and the colors are so beautiful. I also feel like she has a talent for getting photos that look less posed and more candid and joyful.

FAQ

What types of photography services do you offer?

I specialize in lifestyle photography that documents meaningful seasons of life. I offer in-home newborn sessions, family photography (mini, half, and full sessions), and motherhood sessions centered on the connection between moms and their children. I also photograph milestone portraits including engagement and bridal sessions, high school senior and graduation portraits, and creative headshots.

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! Location plays a significant role in capturing unique and personalized photographs. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice, we're open to capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you. You will also be sent a photo location guide to help your decision.

How do I book a photography session with you?

Fill out the contact form on my website and I’ll email you with details and availability. To reserve your date, I’ll send a contract and invoice — a 20% retainer secures your booking, with the remaining balance due on the day of your session.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Portrait sessions typically range from 60-90 minutes.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

Your fully edited gallery will be delivered within 1–2 weeks after your session date. I keep turnaround times quick so you can enjoy and share your photos while the moment still feels fresh.

Do you offer half sessions or mini session?

Yes! I know a full session isn’t the best fit for everyone. I offer both mini and half sessions, and available dates are listed on my booking site (linked below). Because these are scheduled on set dates, the location is predetermined and not customizable like a full session.

Homemade Art &

Graphic Design

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been in love with creating. Art is where I feel closest to God, most inspired, and fully myself. From tracing and redesigning book covers as a kid to studying graphic design and photography in school, creativity has always been my constant. I’ve created this space to share my passion projects, paintings, designs, and everything in between.
